Our Roving Reporter Harry Meeking retrieved the results from the Balinese and Siamese Cat Club Show and said of the day:
' Hopefully their last show before Championship status, with the largest number of Balinese I've seen for a while - an an overall winner who's 11 and a half, showing that quality lasts.'
Sharon Homer Wheeler of Withajay Siamese took lots of pics and 'briefley' (!!!!!!) said of the day:
' On arrival everyone was greeted with a cold drink which was soo welcome, the pens were absolutely full of goodys from Safe4Pets, Smylee Pets, Royal Canin (inc the sought after watches), James Wellbeloved, and a whole tray of Hills tinned food, not small samples but big ones!! There were spot prizes throughout the day (over 40) of litter, treats and more food. It was hot but there were lovely refreshments available and the judges and stewards had the perk of eating their lunch in a wonderfully air conditioned room. The best in show pens were absolutely rammed, Kathy Davies had dontated a magnum of champagne (hiccup) for each best in show winner and there was also a lovely cuddly toy, more litter including a big bag of the worlds best cat litter ( www.mpnproducts.co.uk ) and huge bags of Royal Cannin and James Wellbeloved. The raffle table was amazing with over 250 prizes - At the end of the day the icing on the top was an emotional speech from Chairperson Dot Woodhouse, thanking Sylvia Smith and Julia May for all their hard work as Show Managers and Sue Pinnington for collecting all the free gifts and from the spontaneous round of applause I would say all exhibitors agreed with her. All in all one of the nicest shows I've ever been to, actually no the nicest. Here's looking forward to next year and their first Championship Show.
